Privacy Policy

JSC Innovations PTY LTD ("we", "us", "our") operates Guide 2 Decide + (guide2decide.com). We respect your privacy and handle personal information in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

1. What we collect

• Account details: your email address, an optional display name and a securely stored password, managed through Netlify Identity.
• Content you save to your account: decisions in My Decisions, business ideas and their assessments, saved comparisons, feedback you give on ideas, and discussion posts.
• Subscription details: your plan, its status and your billing history. Card details are collected and stored by our payment provider Stripe. We never see or store your full card number.
• Usage counts: how many AI evaluations and research assists you use each month, so we can apply plan allowances.
• Enquiries: the details you send through our partnership or licensing forms.
• Technical data: standard web server logs such as IP address, browser type and pages requested, used for security and to keep the site running.

2. Worksheets stay in your browser

The Lite, Advanced and Business worksheets, and unsaved comparisons, are stored only in your own browser (local storage). They are not sent to us unless you choose to save a comparison to your account. Clearing your browser data deletes them, so download a backup if you want to keep a copy.

3. How we use your information

• to provide the Service, including your account, saved content, memberships and plan allowances;
• to process payments and manage subscriptions;
• to generate AI assessments and research suggestions you request;
• to respond to your enquiries and send important account or service notices;
• to send reminder emails when a decision review, decide-by date or Compass review is due (you can turn these off in My Decisions or with the link in any reminder email);
• to keep the Service secure and prevent misuse;
• to improve the Service.

We do not sell your personal information. Partners never receive your personal information unless you explicitly choose to contact them.

4. What other people can see

• Discussion posts are public and show your display name, never your email address.
• If you publish a business idea, its title, pitch, description, target customer, price point and your display name are shown on the public feedback board. Your assessment, email address and the feedback you receive stay private to you.
• Feedback you leave on someone's idea is visible to that idea's owner.

5. AI processing

When you use an AI feature, the details you enter for that request are sent to our AI provider (Anthropic, through Netlify AI Gateway) to generate a response. Only include what is needed. Avoid entering sensitive personal information, such as health details or other people's private information, into AI features.

6. Service providers and overseas disclosure

We use trusted providers to run the Service:

• Netlify for hosting, accounts, the database, forms and storage;
• Stripe for payments;
• Anthropic for AI processing;
• Resend for sending reminder emails;
• Stan Store for legacy memberships and courses.

These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States. We take reasonable steps to make sure they protect your information consistently with Australian privacy law.

7. Security and retention

We use reasonable security measures, including encrypted connections and access controls. We keep personal information only for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations, for example tax records for payments. When you delete content it is removed from our active systems.

8. Your choices and rights

• You can view, edit and delete your decisions, ideas, comparisons and posts at any time.
• You can ask us for access to, or correction of, the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to delete your account.
• You can cancel a subscription at any time from Plans & Pricing.

9. Cookies and local storage

We use essential cookies and browser storage to keep you logged in and to save your worksheets. We do not use advertising cookies.

10. Complaints

If you have a privacy concern or complaint, email us first at joseph.chiabrera@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy and will post the new version on this page with a new date.
